How to lighten your hair for summer. Part I

Summer's here and a lot of us want to have that sun kissed hair look with beautiful blonde highlights. Although it's easily achievable by going to the salon, some prefer to get the same effect following more natural ways and more gradually. If you are one of those people, this entry and the two other parts that will follow, are for you.
The first part to hair routine is shampoo so that's where I'm going to start.
This is the shampoo I use to lighten my hair. Is by the brand Kéranove, which can be found in supermarkets here in Spain but if you don't have it in your country it's also sold in ebay.
It is a chamomile shampoo so you won't notice a huge difference in one use, but will give you beautiful and very natural looking highlights.
There are two ways to use it:
First you can use it as a regular shampoo, every time you wash your hair. You put it on and rub it, wash it off and repeat the process. The only difference is that the second time you put it on, I recommend to leave it on for a couple of minutes while you wash your body.
The second way to use it will lighten your hair a little bit faster but you need to have 15 minutes, so you shouldn't do it if you're in a hurry. As I said, 15 minutes before hopping into the shower you could apply the product into dry hair (it's important for your hair to be dry as it won'y work as well in wet hair), comb it so that it's evenly spread and put it up. After that time you can start you shower rinsing off the shampoo and wash your hair as you would normally.
A trick that works for me is, after achieving the blond color you want your hair to have, use this product once or twice a month only applying it to dry hair only in the roots. This way, as your hair grows, the chamomile will lighten and even it with the rest of your hair.
